Built in CineStill 50D & 800T Inspired LUTs 

After sampling and analyzing real film photos taken with both the CineStill 50D & 800T films, two color profiles were created to bring your footage into a color palette inspired by the popular film stocks. These color profiles can be used to simulate a 35mm CineStill style film effect similair to the look which you get in 35mm film photo cameras or used to create unique cinematic aesthetics crafted for your video projects.

CineStill Style Halation

Unlock the power of the free Glow OFX plugin inside DaVinci Resolve and achieve unique filmic halation. With custom settings, you can recreate the iconic Cinestill 800T halation or opt for a more subtle cinematic effect. The included exclusive Halation tutorial will guide you through the process of achieving the CineStill 800T style or creating a more complementary halation that enhances your cinematic color grades.

35mm Film Grain

Enhance your footage with the authenticity of more organic looking dynamic film grain texture using the Film Grain OFX plugin. The native Resolve plugin had modified it to match genuine 35mm CineStill grain samples, ensuring a more authentic filmic result.

Even if you are utilizing the free version of DaVinci Resolve, you can still benefit from the CineStill PowerGrade, which includes 35mm film grain texture overlays. These overlays provide you with an opportunity to seamlessly integrate film grain texture into your footage without requiring the Film Grain OFX, exclusively available in DaVinci Resolve Studio.

Simple & Easy to Use Node Tree

The CineStill PowerGrade features an efficient and powerful node tree which keeps to good color grading practices, ensuring clean unbroken footage, as well as giving you all the nodes you need to create a clean film emulation and will help keep your workflow efficient.

FAQ

WHAT IS A POWERGRADE?
A Powergrade is a node structure that is used to create a color grade look or effet. Davinci Resolve Powergrades are fully customizable and non-destructive so are prefered by colorists who are looking for flexibility and customizability. If you apply a Powergrade to an image, you can see the complete node structure and then change every single parameter of a node. 

WILL THIS POWERGRADE WORK WITH THE IPAD VERSION OF DAVINCI RESOLVE?

Please note that this PowerGrade had not been tested or optimized for the iPad version of DaVinci Resolve. Therefore, functionality cannot be guaranteed on the iPad, and it is highly recommended to use this PowerGrade with the full desktop version for best results.

CAN I USE THIS POWERGRADE WITH PREMIERE PRO OR FINAL CUT?
No. Powergrades are node tree structures that are created in Davinci Resolve meant for use in Davinci Resolve only. I'm currently developing CineStill LUTs so stay tuned for the release.

WHAT RESOLVE COLOR MANAGEMENT SETTING DO I USE?
In your Resolve Project Settings, set your Color Science to DaVinci YRGB. The color management is done in the node tree via the Color Space Transform (CST) nodes. 

CAN I USE THIS FOR COMMERCIAL WORK?
Absolutely. Use this PowerGrade on all of your projects and/or jobs and send them to me. I would love to see what you create.

DO I NEED ANY THIRD-PARTY PLUGINS? 
No. The effects used in this PowerGrade are native Davinci Resolve OFX plugins so you do not need to install any third party plugins. This PowerGrade does make use of the Film Grain effect which one comes with DaVinci Resolve Studio so I've included film grain texture overlays for those who are using DaVinci Resolve Free Version.

WILL THIS POWERGRADE WORK WITH OLDER VERSIONS OF DAVINCI RESOLVE?
The PowerGrade is designed to be compatible with the latest version of DaVinci Resolve. Compatibility with older versions of DaVinci Resolve is not guaranteed and may result in functionality issues. For the best performance and to ensure full compatibility, I recommend using the latest version of DaVinci Resolve.
